Library:

Library is the treasure house of knowledge and the soul of an educational institution. The college has extensive collection of course books as well as reference books. The college has subscribed to a number of academic journals, magazines of general interest. Publications from different universities, government agencies and international bodies are procured regularly to get information and database for carrying out research activities.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR LIBRARY

> Silence must be observed in the Library.
> Personal belongings are not allowed inside the Library.
> Every staff / student of the college is eligible for membership of the Library.
> The Library can be utilized by the students and staff from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. on all the working days.
> All students should sign the entry register of the Library before using the library..
> Books borrowing limit: Faculty – 5, Non Teaching staff – 2, Student – 2.
> Principal is empowered to increase additional issue of books to whomever he feels necessary.
> Borrower’ tickets are not transferable.
> Books are to be handled very carefully. If a book is lost by the student, he/she shall replace the book (same title, author and edition) or shall pay double the cost of the book as fine.
> Members before leaving the issue counter must satisfy themselves as to whether the books which they intend to borrow are in good condition and any damage should be immediately reported to the Librarian or library staff, failing which the member to whom the book was issued will be held responsible.
> Members are not permitted to underline, write in, fold / tear pages or deface the books in any way whatsoever.
> The borrowed book should be returned on or before due date, If not, overdue charge of Rs.1. per day for students will be collected.

> If the due date falls on holidays, return can be done on the following working day without fine.
> Misbehavior in the library will lead to cancellation of membership and serious disciplinary action.
> A member who has lost borrower’s token shall make a written report to the librarian, then original or duplicate library token will be issued on payment of Rs. 50/-
> The members will be responsible for any loss or non return of books issued against their original or duplicate borrower’s ticket.

> All the final year students should return their library token and library book based on library circular and obtain “NO DUE CERTIFICATE” from the library in order to be eligible for HALL TICKET collection.

> Similarly the staff members who intend to leave the college should settle all the dues and obtain “NO DUE CERTIFICATE” from the library.

 

Language Lab:

English lab is essentially a place to sharpen soft skills of students so that they empower themselves to meet the requirements of the growing service sectors of the economy. Our college has a well organized English lab that enables students to learn communication and presentation skills. The college conducts basic language course for foreign students at free of cost and remedial course for weak students to improve their language skills.

 

Conference Hall:

The college has a huge air conditioned audio visual hall well equipped with advanced presentation tools for conducting seminars, conferences, social and cultural programs.
Periodic gatherings ensure high integration of students for exchanging information on the latest topics of study.

 

Sports:

Education will not be complete without building a healthy body and alert mind. Therefore, sports are an integral part of the learning process. To provide physical training for developing a healthy body and mind, sports activities are conducted regularly. Our full-fledged play ground with sophisticated sports equipments support all types of games. The college conducts sports meets and inter-collegiate sports events to train students to participate in the State and National level tournaments.

   

Cultural Festivals:

Cultural activities provide students to show case their talents in the field of music, dance and fine art. Therefore, the college conducts cultural fests on a grand scale under the guidance and supervision of faculty members. In addition to cultural activities, yoga and meditation classes are regularly conducted as part of the programs of personality development.

 

Guest Faculty:

The College regularly organizes guest lectures. The guest speakers from industry share their knowledge and enlighten the students on the current events of different sectors of the economy. Interaction with industrial experts will mould our students to get prepared for facing the future challenges.

 

Interaction with Parents:

We strongly believe that parents need to be constantly appraised about the performance of their children. Therefore, the college regularly conducts parents-faculty meets to evaluate the performance of students. If students violate the disciplinary norms, the college undertakes remedial measures jointly with parents to correct them so that a right step saves greater damages.

 

                

Transportation Facilities:

The College has provided a fleet of buses operating from all directions of Bangalore city. Students can make use of our transport facility that not only reduces their physical stress, but ensures safe commutation. College bus picks up students from dorms on campuses and drops off at Metro Stations, Malls & Airports in major cities. Scholarships:

The college offers merit scholarship to the extent of 50 per cent of the tuition fees, to those who score more than 80 per cent of marks in the immediate preceding examination. There are a few scholarships sponsored by individuals, Trusts and organizations for various categories of students.

Hostel Facility:

The college has extended separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. All basic amenities are provided in the hostel for making the hostel mates feel homely.  Inter-alia, the food served in the hostel caters to the tastes of both Indians and foreign students.

Cafeteria:

The college has excellent cafeteria that serves variety of cuisines to cater to the needs of students. It's obviously been awhile since someone has reviewed this. For a college cafeteria I would say that it meets standard expectations. In the eating area the tables are usually clean or full of people studying. Also there are plenty of recycle, garbage(landfill), and compost combination bins around.

       

 

Health Services:

Opportunity in health counseling and health check-up is facilitated in the college through college teachers having health science background. At least two health camps a year are scheduled by the college / Health Care Students' Society within the college premises. Free health check-up and minor surgery are carried out by the specialists from home and abroad during the health camp period.

 

Campus safety:

Fire extinguishers are placed at the appropriate places for the safety of the students. Security personnel are on alert and they keep watching all the floors and in case of any exigency, they take the responsibility in conducting themselves.

Class Rooms Air Conditioned:

The S.S.R Group of Instituition is equipped with ultra modern infrastructure to cater, to the needs of its pupils. We have aharmonious multi-cultural learning environment, facilities to pursue cultural and artistic interest. Pupils learn to work together, embracing and appreciating each others differences, whether they are hindus, christian, muslims or atheist - "diversity builds strength." The class rooms are very spacious, well ventilated with all amenities viz. OHPs, multimedia Projectors, Multimedia OHPs to make the class room teaching a viable one, enabling the students to discern knowledge, to transform the student's mind, to be content, and happy throughout. Computer Lab:

We provide numerous computing facilities for its students and faculty. Included in these facilities are two types of computer labs.

Open labs contain networked personal computers, printers, and other computer equipments that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Classroom labs are configured with six to eight feet wide display screens, computer projection systems, and a networked personal computer on every student desk. Scheduled classes have priority in classroom labs. A classroom lab may be utilized as an open lab when no class is in progress.
